Here's my opinion on the latest PS2 games...

SplashDown

Ever play JetMotoor Wave Race? If you liked them games, you'll love this. It's all water racing, unlike Jetmoto. The water psychics are fantastic. The gameplay and graphics are unbeleivable. There are a ton of stunts to do, and to make ur watercraft go its fastest, you have to keep the stunt meter full. Theres about 20 tracks and 10 racers to choose from. It also has a pretty good soundtrack.

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3

I can explain this game in 2 words-AWESOME GAME! The graphics are awesome and the gameplay is smooth. You can choose from many pro skaters, including Tony Hawk, Rodney Mullen, & more. A good new feature is the way you can change the appearance. The create-a-skater and create-a-park modes are really good. Theres 10 huge levels, plus I've heard of 3 levels from the original Tony Hawk's Pro Skater. The online play is also really good. The multiplayer modes are good. theres Slap!, Horse, King of the Hill, Free Skate, Graffitti, and Trick Attack. You can play all of those online. The soundtrack is also pretty good.

WWF Smackdown!:Just Bring It

Like THPS3, it's an awesome game. Just 1 downfall-the story mode sucks. Unlike the first 2 SmackDown! games, the story mode has an ending. It ends after about 4 matches. The graphics are great. The wrestler entrances are awesome-the titantron plays the exact videos and the entrances and looks just as if you were watching WWF on TV. The gameplay is very simple. And unlike the other SmackDown! games, the gameplay is slower. A new feature is the announcers-Michael Cole and Tazz. But the announcers aren't that great(But hey-it was worth the try).

Dark Summit

Immediately, youll notice the horrendous visuals as your sorry-looking boarder rides bland, colorless slopes. Character animation is a joke, while the sense of speed is nonexistent. Even the overly long courses dont have a whole lot of graphical detail. Unfortunately, if your eyes survive, your ears will certainly be hurting as you play: Threatening voices from enemies and self-affirmation comments are some samples from the lame, pointless soundtrack. The gameplay could be improved, too. Meaningless objectives scattered throughout the entire mountain make your ride down only more boring. Performing basic stunts, however, is a cinch. But the bizarre button combinations that are required to do outlandish aerial tricks can be troublesome due to slow button response. The only saving grace to this miserable experience is that there are far better snowboarding games to buy for the PS2, like SSX Tricky and Cool Boarders 2001.

Nascar Thunder 2002

For Nascar fans, this game will probably be a favorite. The graphics are great and the gameplay is good. With a PS2 controller, use the analog stick, because the d-pad is hard to play with. To make this game totally awesome, i recommend a steering wheel. There are tons of drivers and the newest tracks in the Nascar circuit. And for each driver, they have their car in different styles. if your not a Nascar fan, i don't recommend this game for you. But all you people like me who like Nascar, I'm sure you'll like Nascar Thunder 2002.
